ADVANCED BOOKING INFORMATION*

Requirements for Drivers – Please Read Carefully!

All persons wishing to drive the rental vehicle from Express Campers will need to be present at the time of collection.

They must:

1. Hold a full UK or EU Driving Licence for at least 2 years.

2.  Be aged between 23 and 75.

3. Not have had their licence suspended for any period in the last 3 years.

4.  Not been involved in more than 1 fault incident in the last 3 years.

5. Not currently have more than 2 point convictions on their licence with no more than 3 points per conviction.

Prior to the invoice of deposit being raised the driver must provide copies of the following , upon request:

 i. Photocard driving licence.

 ii. 2 forms of Proof of Address, accepted letters include: utility bill, bank or credit card statement. These must share the same address as their Driving Licence and be dated within 3 months.

 iii.   Provide a Check code obtained from the DVLA Licence Check website https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence within the last 21 days.

Insurance Excess

In the event that the vehicle and/or third party vehicle or property is damaged during the period of hire, the hirer shall be liable to pay the insurance excess of either;

–             23-24 year olds £700.00

–             25-75 year olds £500.00

 The excess for windscreen damage is £25 and £80 for replacement.

Payment Terms

1.  To secure the booking, a non-returnable deposit of 20% of the total hire fee is due on confirmation and must be paid by bank transfer on receipt of an invoice. By paying the booking deposit, you are confirming  that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by Express Campers’ Terms and Conditions. The deposit acts as acceptance of the hire agreement in full.

2. The balance of the total hire fee is due no less than 30 days before collection of the vehicle. This may be paid by instant bank transfer.

3. As security bond of £500 for standard campers and £750 for pet friendly campers will be held and retained until the vehicle is returned and inspected. You will be contacted no less than 24 hours before the collection to obtain this information.
